We're obsessed with this restaurant. We live in the US and plan our annual trips to Italy around their summer closure. This year we came in December and moved up our time in Milan to have both lunch and dinner there on the last day before they close for Christmas holidays. Their paper thin prosciutto and creamy burrata are the perfect starter. Then be sure to order the Pappardelle a Trebia. It's a special pasta dish the father who opened the restaurant used to make for his kids combining elements of other classic sauces, so it doesn't exist anywhere else but should. And then the star, the sliced beef with porcini mushrooms. Drizzle some olive oil and add a pinch of salt, and be prepared for the best thing I've ever tasted. My husband and I lie in bed sometimes just imagining we're eating this. One important note, they cook it "al sangue", to the blood (rare). So if you like your steak more than medium rare, first reassess your life choices. Then order something else. They won't overcook it. They are also so friendly and kind! It really feels like the staff have all become part of the family of the owners, and they make us feel so welcome. Enjoy a special meal at a special place!

We had dinner at Ristorante Da La Trebia in Milan, and I must say it was an absolutely perfect gastronomic experience. The service was textbook-level flawless — every detail handled with precision and grace. Our waitress, Greta, made the evening truly special with her subtle charm, impeccable professionalism, and genuine warmth. Her assistance in choosing both the dishes and the wine was exceptional — always present, yet never intrusive. For crudo, we enjoyed Prosciutto Crudo d’Osvaldo and a beautiful selection of cheeses. As a primo, the pappardelle with porcini mushrooms were exquisite. When it came to the main course, it was pure poetry — the ribeye steak cooked to a perfect medium rare, down to the millisecond, and the tenderloin alla Woronnof, both executed with absolute mastery. We finished with a delicious cannoli, paired with a remarkable Ribolla 2011 Gravner from Friuli Venezia Giulia — a perfect match for the meal. The restaurant’s interior and hygiene standards are impeccable, making the entire experience not just about food, but about harmony and elegance. In short — perfection in every sense. I wholeheartedly recommend Da La Trebia to anyone visiting Milan who wants to complete their magical stay with an unforgettable dining experience.

A truly classic and elegant restaurant. The ambiance is warm and refined, making it perfect for both couples and groups. The staff are incredibly professional and kind. The quality of the food is great, with a fantastic selection of premium meat cuts cooked to perfection. Prices are very reasonable for the level of quality offered. Their wine and champagne list is extensive and features some truly prestigious options. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience without the pretentious atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!

Great and warm location for an elegant dinner with friends and family, as well as for business dinners. The service is slightly rushed but the waitstaff are professional and efficient. The food is good, with classic recipes that are well-executed, and the portions are adequate. The only reason I'm not giving a full 5-star rating is that all of us found the dishes to be slightly too salty, and in some cases, overly peppered. When I was asked for feedback on the meal by what I believe was the restaurant manager, and in the presence of the chef, it was explained to me that they use Maldon salt at the end of cooking, which might be the cause. I appreciated both the explanation and their attention to customer feedback. The price is reasonable given the quality and location of the restaurant, meeting the expectations.

Friendly staff, cozy and super comfortable! The house wine is not good at all! Baked potatoes were dry, unfortunately. But the Bistecca was amazing, just marvelous!

The carbonara was a standout dish, delivering a creamy and rich experience thanks to the perfect blend of pecorino and egg yolk. The pasta was cooked to perfection, striking that ideal al dente balance. The guanciale added a delightful salty kick and a satisfying crispiness, elevating the dish further. Portion size was just right, leaving me content without feeling overstuffed. At €15, it’s a steal for such a well-executed classic. Highly recommended. The bone-in ribeye was a highlight, especially for the price. At €30, it’s a bargain compared to similar establishments charging upwards of €50. Ordered rare, the kitchen nailed the cooking, delivering a steak with a wonderful taste that melted in the mouth when it arrived, served on an extremely hot plate to keep it warm. However, as it cooled, the texture became a bit chewy, which was a minor letdown. The steak knife, shaped like an axe, was a quirky and fun touch that added to the experience. Overall, a fantastic deal for a quality cut. Unfortunately, the Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Gelato was a disappointment. The chocolate fondant was marginally warm, raising suspicions it was pre-cooked rather than made to order, which dulled its appeal. The accompanying vanilla gelato was overly sweet and lacked the distinct vanilla flavor I expected-no vanilla pods were visible, further suggesting a lack of care. This dessert is not recommended and felt like a weak link in an otherwise strong meal. The Tellus Syrah 2022 750ml was a great choice, offering a spicy and bold flavor profile that paired beautifully with the dishes. The wine pricing felt fair, and the restaurant’s extensive wine list, accessible via a tablet, made for an engaging selection process. A solid complement to the meal. The restaurant’s ambiance was a highlight, with elegant white tablecloths and high-quality glassware and utensils creating a refined yet welcoming vibe. Service was generally very good, though a few staff members came across as abrupt, particularly when interrupting me while I was still perusing the wine menu. This minor hiccup aside, the overall service was attentive. The €3 cover charge felt reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber, and the €3 still water (75cl) was fairly priced. No additional charges were tacked on, which was appreciated.
